Williams Blade Design from the United States was founded by long-time knife designer James Williams and his son Christopher. TRC Knives from Lithuania was founded by Andrius Tricius. Two years ago, they met by chance at the IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg, Germany. Both parties liked each other’s craftsmanship. As a result, Christopher decided to make the trip to Lithuania and begin a new project.
The Shobu Zukuri Kaiken 001 was designed by Williams Blade Design and made by TRC Knives.
The first result of this collaboration is the Shobu Zukuri Kaiken 001, in short SZK 001, which has just been released. The SZK 001 features a 114 mm Elmax blade (60-61 HRC) with a classic Shobu Zukuri grind for excellent lateral strength and cutting ability. The knife has an overall length of 226 mm. The blade finish is called “Apocalyptic”. The handle is Black Canvas Micarta with brass pins. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath with Ulti-Clip.
The knives are numbered on the spine, starting with 01/80.

Andrius Tricius has found the SZK 001 to be one of his most
challenging project in the recent years. Both Williams and TRC
strive for the highest knife making standards, materials and
superb quality. They are very happy with the result and are
looking for more projects in the future.
